We are a couple of artists, LAURA and Radu Focsa, living and working in Gordes, a village in the south of France, in Provence.
We have our respective workshops in Gordes and Maubec, in the Luberon.
Our Art Gallery in Gordes - Provence, has two showrooms open to the public.
LAURA - Plastic artist, painted abstract paintings and creates painted sculptures.
She began her artistic life as an illustrator for album covers discs at Tamaris - Publisher - in Paris, in 1993.
Passionate about photography and especially portraiture, she decided one day to turn them into painting.
First solo exhibition as a painter in June 2008 in the "White Penitents chapel" in Gordes, where she showed portraits on canvas.
LAURA likes to cover their tracks; she is never there or you would expect. Her desire to create leads from figuration to lyrical abstraction.
Her abstraction art work is based on the search for harmony between graphics and colors.
In 2012 began the series of painted busts, which is a great success both France and the United States.
LAURA has a permanent exhibition at the Workshop Gallery Radu Focsa in Gordes, Rue de la Poste.

Radu FOCSA artist figurative painter, colorist, landscaper, sculptor.
His work navigates between dream and reality.
My painting is devoted either to real or to imaginary themes because I am always sailing between both of them.
I know the starting point but never the final destination.
Painting drives me. I never run out of subjects but seldom is there enough time to express all of what I feel.
Radu FOCSA now lives and paints in Gordes, in the Luberon and the workshop includes a public exhibition hall.

His wish is to capture light.
Member of “La Maison des artistes” since 1999 (Is the official House of French Artists) and have a permanent public show in his studio in Gordes (Provence south of France )
