STAINED GLASS
Current stained glass was invented at the beginning of the Middle Ages, with pieces of glass assembled by lead rods, specifically profiled. This process of crimping by “leading”, although still dominant today, is not the only one in use: other techniques, such as those of copper tape (also called the Tiffany method, from its designer Louis Comfort Tiffany), glass slab embedded in concrete or silicone, collages (with resins or polymers), thermoforming, fusing and stained glass with free glass, can be used or combined.
